Over Michael Porter

Michael E. Porter is hoogleraar bedrijfskunde aan de Harvard Business School en al jarenlang de absolute expert op het gebied van strategie en concurrentie. Vooral zijn vijfkrachtenmodel ('Competitive Forces Model'), waardeketenmodel ('Value Chain Model') en de typologie van Porter behoren tot de basiskennis van iedere manager. Zijn boeken worden met regelmaat herdrukt. Porter volgde een universitaire opleiding in Princeton en behaalde zijn doctoraat met als vakgebied zakeneconomie in 1973 in Harvard.

Thomas Hayes (Tom) Davenport Jr. (New York City, 17 oktober 1954) is een Amerikaans academicus en auteur, gespecialiseerd in analytics, business process innovation, knowledge management en artificial intelligence. Hij is momenteel de President's Distinguished Professor in Information Technology and Management aan Babson College, een Fellow van het MIT Initiative on the Digital Economy, mede-oprichter van het International Institute for Analytics en een Senior Advisor van Deloitte Analytics.
